The 100 Miles 100 Reasons Project
Mental health matters. It’s a statement we’ve all heard, but for many, accessing the support they need remains a challenge. Therapy can be life-changing, but for those unable to afford it, the path to healing can feel like a distant dream. That’s where 100 Miles 100 Reasons Project comes in—a campaign to increase awareness of mental health and raise money to provide three months of therapy services for those who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
What is 100 Miles, 100 Reasons?
This campaign is more than a fundraiser—it’s a mission. Mario will be running 100 miles around Lake Sonoma in Northern California. Mario plans to run with intention; dedicating each mile to a certain cause, social issue, mental health systems, and clients he has worked with.100 reasons and 100 miles was born from the idea of Ascending during difficult times. Each step is a testament to the strength it takes to navigate life’s challenges and a reminder that no one should have to face those struggles alone.
The 100 Miles, 100 Reasons Project was born from the idea of ascending during difficult times. Life isn’t always easy, but through movement, awareness, and community, we can rise together.
Why This Campaign Matters
- Breaking Stigma: Mental health is often misunderstood or overlooked. This campaign aims to foster conversations and normalize seeking help.
- Access for All: Therapy is essential, but for many, it’s a privilege. Funds raised through this initiative will go to three months of therapy services for individuals in need, connecting them to support systems that can transform their lives.
- Running with Intention: Every mile has a purpose. From shedding light on the impacts of anxiety and depression to highlighting systemic issues like healthcare inequity, this journey is about more than miles—it’s about meaning.

Ascending Together
Running 100 miles won’t solve every challenge facing mental health, but it’s a start. It’s a way to honor the struggles and triumphs of those who have faced mental health challenges and to advocate for those still seeking help.
Each mile represents hope, strength, and the power of community. Together, we can rise above the barriers to mental health care and create a future where everyone has the support they need to thrive.
